Revelations Chapter 17 – Krishna Venta (Lecture, 1948)

I think there are a few persons who cannot truthfully say they are extremely happy. We know we are still facing the
trials of the world, and have many battles to overcome. No matter how positively we strive to live through the day,
we will invariably come in contact with someone who is slightly negative; then our battle begins. Am I strong enough
to radiate love which will conquer that enemy within the other person, or am I to fall prey to his thoughts and feelings?
This is your battle. Every day you encounter it, and if you believe on the Father—the Universal Intelligence—also
believe the wisdom which the Father has given will lift you above the turmoil and help you to extend a positive
message to those individuals. Anything which you can see with your eyes and hear with your ears, you can combat,
though sometimes you do yield to what you have seen and heard. But there are other forces in this world—silent
forces—which you encounter and are not aware of. Your neighbors, or people anywhere in the world, who are
producing negative thoughts, also paint pictures of those thoughts inside their minds. WHAT A MAN THINKETH,
SO IS HE. If you think negatively, though you don’t express it outwardly, those thoughts of negativity will encompass
the world. They travel along the ether waves. Anyone thinking negatively at that moment receives strength from
your negative thoughts. Thus, the greatest enemy you have to conquer in this world is the unseen forces existing
around you. If you could understand mental telepathy in its fullness, then you would have something with which
to combat that condition. But because we have not spent as much time with the unseen powers as we have…The
majority of people in the world today are responding to some negative thought, which they are creating within their
own minds, painting those pictures daily, hourly. As quickly as you produce a thought, it is projected. You may be
getting along fine, right in your own home, not talking to anyone, when all of a sudden—in a moment of weakness
—those thoughts projected from someone else will enter your mind. They were not directed at you.

Any individual who is negative will adhere to those laws and accept them. That is why an old proverb reads, “THE
THINGS WHICH COME UPON YOU ARE OF YOUR OWN MAKING.” If you could become aware of other powers
in the world that are painting negative pictures, and that you are susceptible to them, why then should you accept?
Why not ignore them? It takes only a minute to get yourself in a rut; sometimes it takes days to get yourself out. You
bring it upon yourself. If you saw John Doe swallowing poison, and you knew it was poison, should you take it along
with him? No, you have more common sense. Then, why don’t you have more common sense, dear children, than
to accept poison thoughts? If they have no part in your daily living, you can then express a richer happiness. These
are good thoughts to adhere to. BE POSITIVE, BE CREATIVE, BE CONSTRUCTIVE. You cannot hide from those
negative conditions around you—no matter where you go. You cannot build a wall of resistance around you, nor hide
in your room, nor get off in a corner and think you are safe from those thoughts. Perhaps you are safe from those
actions which deal with sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch—things which you can see, read and hear—but not
from the millions of thoughts traveling in the ether. You cannot hide from them! The only thing you can do is stand fast
and recognize the difference between a positive and negative thought. A negative thought will always lead to malice,
hatred, envy, jealousy, anger, or anything which is contrary to the laws of right. A positive law will never place confusion
in your mind; it is always good, therefore listen and obey it! You can hide from mankind, yet it wouldn’t bring you one
step closer to the Father’s greater realms. It is better to face the situation and gain an understanding. Once you gain
an understanding, no negative force can ever touch you. Many have attended one lecture given by “The Voice.”

They walk away, and negative laws begin to act upon their consciences. They stay away, because they aren’t strong
enough to face truth. If I, dear children, believe on God, I won’t be afraid to walk into the Devil’s den, for the protection
and the wisdom of the Father will be around and about me. If I refuse to go near negativity, I am blaspheming God,
because I don’t have the faith, nor do I trust God’s ability to protect me! If you are a messenger of the Father in Heaven,
then your duty is to go among that class of people and be a teacher, and help them rise above their faults. But if you
shut yourself off in a corner, how can you be a teacher? God doesn’t want blind believers, but teachers who can control
the key He gives them. That is why you should seek wisdom—that you might pass it on to others. You don’t search
for it just to bury it under a bushel. If you do, the Father will say, “You have come to gain My wisdom, yet you refuse
to use it. Why, then, should I give you more?” Place these thoughts deeply in your hearts, and remember them; they
are yours for spiritual progression. These laws must be adhered to and obeyed, if you expect the Father to continue
giving His blessings to you. The reason we hide from other people is mainly fear. “Yea, though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil, for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.” What is there
to fear in this world? You have heard me speak of Kuthumi, or the adversary. Man becomes terrified of the Adversary.
Why? Because he doesn’t understand the work of the Adversary. Yet, when you do not have knowledge of mental
telepathy, the Adversary can reach you mentally, at any time, day or night. How can you hide from Him? How can
you build a wall and keep truth out—or keep truth in? Truth cannot be bound by any laws known by man; neither can
the negative laws be bound by the actions of man. The negative laws can be bound only by understanding, so do not
accept them, even though you are in their midst. That is why the Son came nineteen hundred years ago and said, “I
am in the world, but not of it.” You are in the world, and can’t get away from it; but is there any reason why you should
be of the world? Not if you are a messenger of the truth! In your search for truth, don’t accept from that truth only what
you want, or what coincides with your understanding. Accept the entire truth.

If part of what one speaks seems to be truth, surely other things the individual is speaking are equally true, but probably
beyond your comprehension. This gives you no reason to say, “He is right in some things, but wrong in others.” That is
only your conception. GET YE WISDOM, BUT ABOVE ALL GET UNDERSTANDING. If a man speaks an ounce of truth,
he can also be speaking the whole truth. If his mission is in the service of God, how then can his words be anything
but truth—even though it contradicts some of your old beliefs? The most important arguments man will relay to the
new thinker today are those which are raised in the Bible. You believe in certain laws philosophically, but you have
not learned how to interpret the Bible in a spiritual sense. Therefore, when you come in contact with a good Bible
student, he can produce so many arguments to prove your laws wrong that you have nothing to stand on! Thus, it
is necessary for those teachers who are seeking spiritual light to learn something of the Bible and how to interpret it,
not literally but spiritually. There are two ways of reading the Bible, as mentioned in previous lectures. One is reading
it with a literal interpretation; the other is a spiritual interpretation. I wonder if the English translation of the Bible reads
as it did in German, or Spanish. In English, we would say, “We go upstairs,” while in other languages it is “We go the
stairs up.” Perhaps in the translating there have been many changes made in the Bible, which vary the true spiritual
concept. As I mentioned, when the Bible—especially the Old Testament—was compiled, the Books were transcribed
by Scribes and learned men, approximately 60 B.C. They gathered the Books of the ancient laws and began to translate
them from an old language, long forgotten, into the language of that day, and the learned men contradicted one another.
One said, “It should be rendered this way”; another said, “But it would be clearer to explain it thus.” They argued, until
finally the stronger personalities were able to put their laws into effect. Thus, the Bible you read today is the translation
of those Scribes who contradicted each other. The Bible is a beautiful Book; it does not contradict itself, though you
think it does.

You read one place, “An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth”; in another, “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself”;
or, “If thy neighbor smiteth thee on one cheek, then turn the other”; and in another place, “You have the right to do
battle with your brother.” Those things seem to be contradictions in the good Book, but they are not. They are merely
explanations of certain parables which were necessary at that time. In those days, a fig leaf, or an ear of corn, served
to explain a law, because the people were farmers. They understood what a tare was, and a fig leaf, but if I were to
ask you to draw a fig leaf, the majority of you could not do so; you could not even identify one, because you live in
an age of scientific development. Therefore, if I were to give a parable to you, I would speak in the tongue you all
understand, especially in the familiar scientific tongue. A thousand years from now, these very laws interpreted today
would be obsolete. Each generation changes—and in 2,000 years many changes can take place. When we read the
Bible, let’s try to get the essence of what was meant then. Thus, we will truly get a spiritual message, and the Bible
will not contradict itself. I would like to give you the interpretation tonight of the 17th Chapter of the Book of Revelation.
These interpretations are necessary because the majority of people you talk to are church-going people who have
learned the letter of the law—the spirit really isn’t there. The church-person will say, “I believe this and that, and it
says such and such.” All you have to do is ask them, “Do you live it?” Well, that is a different story. They might have
heard the words, and be living them by the letter of the law, but they do not live by the spirit of it. The spirit of the law
is greater than the letter. When you converse with them on Bible passages, you must know what they are talking
about, and return a clearer explanation which makes them stop and think. Even though they walk away and contradict
you at the time, you will have planted a seed which will grow. (Please read the 17th Chapter of the Book of Revelation.)
This is very clear to me as I read, but can you understand it? Can you interpret it? It is very simple to understand and
interpret, if we recognize the signs of the times, but those people who seek after signs never see them.

Many wondrous signs in the heavens and on the earth are revealed unto you through the Father, in many strange ways,
daily, but because you are blind and looking for phenomena, rather than natural laws, you fail to see the signs. When
the day of reckoning comes, you fall under the law which you should have escaped—such as hate, or war. Signs of the
times were painted long before the coming of wars, but we were looking for some mysterious sign, and we would not
believe, until the reckoning appeared upon us, and we went to war, nation against nation. Then we said, “Why does
this all have to happen?” The sign was given you on a previous date, but you were blind. The Father gave you a Book,
the Book of Revelation, to reveal the signs, but you would not listen. The 17th Chapter is one of the signs. Since two
thousand years ago, man has already undergone sixteen of those chapters, and is about to have fulfilled the signs of
the 17th Chapter of the Book of Revelation, leaving only four more to be fulfilled within the next 360 years, approximately.
The 22nd Chapter of the Book of Revelation closes the New Testament. Another Book shall be added unto it, and the
Old and the New Testaments will become records of a history fulfilled. The Newer Testament will be that which is
yet to come. After you have studied the Old and New Testaments, when that Newer Testament comes, you will find
how the signs of the times repeat themselves, for what has occurred in the New Testament also occurred in the Old
Testament, long before the coming of the Messiah nineteen hundred years ago. I have tried my best to give you
knowledge concerning the conditions that the world is now in. I have pleaded with you to adhere to these laws, and
I have been met with deaf ears. People will not accept my words. I speak for your benefit, that you might be prepared
when the time comes. While people are spending their time condemning the Jewish and the Black Races, the Catholic
and other religious faiths, the truth remains, unheeded. You will listen to someone condemn a race of people; your
blood will boil, and you will be ready to destroy them, or pool your forces with their antagonists.

Now, it is the controversy between Communist Russia, and the Capitalistic American people. You listen to propaganda
against the Russians, and rise up in hatred, because they are projecting such evils against the world, while, in Russia,
they are doing the same thing against the American people—because of the evils the American people are planning!
Children, wake up! Stop condemning a race of people because they might be black, white, or yellow. Stop condemning
a nation of people because they might be Russian, Japanese, German or American. Stop condemning a faith, because it
doesn’t follow your trend of thinking. Get away from condemnation, because the demon which is causing all the destruction
upon the earth is going along unheeded. You are unaware of it because you are listening to another law. There are two
forces existing in this world. One is the positive, which is of God, and the other is the negative force of the Adversary.
The positive force is existing on a minute scale throughout the world. There are good people in every country who are
adhering to the positive; there are good people of every nationality and in every religious denomination. Therefore, how
can we condemn a religion or race of people by judging just a few individuals? As there is good in every race, nationality
and creed, there is bad also. If we can gain an understanding of this and recognize the positive and negative forces existing
within all, we will have won a great battle in our deeper understanding of God. We hear about the law of destruction in
the world today. Russia has been branded by the Americans as the seat of this force; therefore, we have condemned
the Russians. Did you ever stop to think that in the United States there are a million or more people who are not Russians
but believe in the same law of destruction? They also are negative forces. Since the negative forces in America do not
have a stronghold from which to work, the seat of operations at the present time happens to be in Russia.

This does not mean that the entire populace of Russia follows that trend, but the seat of it is there because the “Beast”
has found it can gain strength in certain places where it has worked upon a populace, and the people accept the fact
that there is no God, and outlaw religion. Thus, they have no conscience to contend with. But, people in Christian
United States, believing in that same law, are following that force. Individuals in Germany and other countries of the
world believe in that law and are following the Beast. Sooner or later, those people will rise en masse to war against
the people who do not believe. Can you call them Russians, or Black, or White? No, because those individuals are
following the belief in destruction—we will say of communism, if you want to so call it—are of all races, nationalities
and creeds. No single race or group is responsible. It is a condition existing in the minds of a certain class of people.
Thus comes a division point. One class of people will follow this belief in destruction, and another class will follow a
different belief. The Beast has his mark on a multitude of people in America. In fact, the Beast has a stronger hold on
the American people than the angels of heaven, because man still listens to the laws of destruction, hate and malice.
Before the Russians rose in power, all the condemnation was placed upon the Catholics—it was said that they carried
the mark of the Beast. Some people still believe that. Yet, something just happened which causes one to wonder if the
Catholics should be so branded. Last year a number of doctors throughout the country tried to legalize mercy deaths.
This year a group of Protestant churches and religious organizations have advocated mercy deaths for humans who
are suffering. The Catholics say “No.” Which is right, and which is wrong? The Catholics are standing for right. Have
I not told you in the laws of reincarnation that an individual has life everlasting? An individual exists in one embodiment,
and when he departs, he moves into a new house. No man has the right to separate him from that house, for when he
does, he retards the progress of that intelligence. Only God has the right to take life—and He never takes it. Therefore,
why should man do so because someone is suffering?

If a law were passed allowing mercy deaths, the next step would be to pass a law to kill those with criminal minds
who are a detriment to society, calling it a mercy death for the benefit of society. Next, they would commit mercy
deaths among the insane. None of this would help the situation, because the same intelligence would reincarnate
to carry on where it had left off. How long will they go on killing, thinking they are getting rid of the condition? There
are many things we must learn! Going back to the 17th Chapter of the Book of Revelation, at the beginning of this
last war there were twelve powers, the twelve leading countries of the world. They were the international bankers
of the world. There were 87 international financiers working under these twelve powers. Five of those powers fell
in this war, leaving seven—the seven powers mentioned in this Book. The five which lost their power were Germany,
France, Italy, China and Japan. They just hold a seat—leaving seven powers in control now. The Lloyds of London
have lost their power. Montague Norman, of the Bank of England, has succumbed; therefore, England has no more
real capitalistic system. The House of Rothschild fell. Their financial powers have dwindled. Now, only seven nations
still hold a little power. Of the seven nations, we find two domineering ones—Russia and the United States. Those
two powers are locking horns, trying their best to include the rest of the people under their wings. America formed
a block of the 17 American Republics, and also tried to form a block with some of the European countries. Russia,
on the other hand, has tried to form a solid block of the eastern hemisphere, and has done a better job than the
Americans have over there. America gave power to Chiang Kai-shek; then along came the Communists working
in northern China, and they have forced his removal. America, who gave power to him, now finds herself in a spot
where she has to yield to their request. That means the Communists have more power in China, and will soon take
over, forcing Americans to leave. At the present time, we are facing the two solid blocks, and neither will be satisfied
as long as they are separated. Sooner or later, those two blocks must come together in battle for supremacy of the
world. It is so written in the 17th Chapter of the Book of Revelation.

While these powers are at work forming these two solid blocks, there is one at work, trying to gather the Elect children
out of the masses—the good children out of Russia, Japan, China, England and from every country of the world. He
is gathering them together to make the army of the 144,000 Elect. That one is the Son of God, with his 3,500 followers,
who are Masters. His work is now with you. That is why I am here today, striving to have you join with me, that we
might gather together 144,000 strong, awaiting the day when the Father directs us toward freeing the populace of
the world. We cannot do it now, for the hour and the day is not yet. Certainly we will never accomplish it if we remain
divided. We must unite, and wait until the Father gives us the go-ahead signal. When we have gathered the 144,000
Elect together, we will remain silent, carrying on our work, not interfering with anyone else’s religion or politics. Let
politics fight her own battle, because politics definitely bears the mark of the Beast. Politics is a fight for supremacy
over the lives of people. One nation will take over. As it appears, the seat of power will be in Russia; that power will
gain control of the world. Millions of people outside of Russia, who are not of Russian descent, will be instigators of
the overthrow of the western hemisphere. You have them here. You can’t get away from them. They are not Russians;
they are Americans, but they don’t like the way the capitalistic system is run, nor the way they are being taxed, so they
are willing to grab at a straw of any kind to escape that condition. Neither system is right—capitalism nor the one that
would destroy it; they are both at fault, because neither is using—as the foundation of their work—the laws of God.
When these two lock horns, one will fall, but the one which stands bears the mark of the Beast—it shall stand for only
a short time. That one will be Russia, controlling the world. When she takes over the world, she will immediately set
up ten puppet governments, in ten sections of the world, and will place upon those thrones a form of king. The ten
kings—which have not received a throne as yet, but shall receive a throne under the mark of the Beast—shall reign
for one hour. A thousand years are as of a day to the Lord. You have read that in the Bible.

Therefore, one hour to the Lord would mean approximately 41 years—one hour of the Lord’s time. Thus, the Beast
will reign for approximately 41 years. I have said that we would go into the valley, and in 1975 Russia would take
over the world, and we would remain for forty years in the Valley, and at the end of that time, we would rise up and
go into the world to free the people from the Beast. Thus it is spoken in the Bible; you will find what I have spoken
to you regarding that 144,000, the Beast taking over, the forty-year’s silence of the Elect children of God—all in
accordance with the 17th Chapter of the Book of Revelation. After the forty-year period, the 144,000 elect will go
out into the world, without guns or ammunition of any kind to protect them. All they will have for their defense is
the spirit of God and the love of their fellowmen. When they go out, they will do so to extend their Love to their
fellowmen—not their hate. They will not say, “Down with such and such Beast, for he is evil.” They are going out
to talk to the people and give the love of God back to them, with kindness and compassion. The Beast will recognize
that this love—which wasn’t meant to be—is stimulating the people, and the people are again responding to love,
while before they were under the dictates of the Beast—slaves of the lowest order. A slave can’t have much love;
a slave can only be a slave and have hate in his heart. He cannot rise up against the Beast because he has no
gun. So, love will have to be built within the people. As love begins to develop among the people, the Beast—or
the power—will destroy many of the 144,000 Elect. Many will lose their lives, but in that moment, they will have
gained their lives; they will have received a greater reward, for he who loseth his life for my namesake shall gain
it. That is the reward which is given to you. You will have mastered the laws of mortality and will have served
the Father by giving your life unto the Father, and you will have a greater reward by entrance into the kingdom
of heaven. Those ten kings who have served one hour with the Beast will see the atrocities which are being
committed upon the spiritual people who have no means of protecting themselves. This will awaken the ten
kings to the laws of God and cause them to remember how much better it was when there was religious
freedom. Having received their power from the Beast; they shall rise up to destroy the power which has
enslaved the people. Then peace shall reign on the earth.

Going back to the 17th Chapter of the Book of Revelation: “AND THERE CAME ONE OF THE SEVEN ANGELS
WHICH HAD THE SEVEN VIALS, AND TALKED WITH ME, SAYING UNTO ME, COME HITHER: I WILL SHEW
UNTO THEE THE JUDGEMENT OF THE GREAT WHORE THAT SITTETH UPON MANY WATERS:” “Angels”
means “messengers.” They are not individuals in white robes; they do not have wings. The old interpretation of
“angel” is “messenger”—a messenger of God. Therefore, “There came a messenger of God, having one of the
seven vials,” or, having one of the keys of the laws of the seventh fulfillment. “The great whore” doesn’t mean
a woman who is selling her body, as it is interpreted literally. A “whore” means “any individual who is a carrier
of abomination, hatred, malice, prejudice, envy, jealousy, greed and lust.” If you adhere to such things you are
branding yourself as a whore, following the great whore. “Waters” means “that which is not substantial.” It is
unstable. Thus, the great whore—that which is an individual filled with malice, prejudice and hate—is walking
upon an unstable race of people. No race of people can definitely say they are stable today, that their nation is
impregnable. Every nation has its confusion, and where there is confusion it represents the waters. Therefore,
the whore is that which rests upon every nation and every tongue with her abomination. “WITH WHOM THE
KINGS OF THE EARTH HAVE COMMITTED FORNICATION, AND THE INHABITANTS OF THE EARTH HAVE
BEEN MADE DRUNK WITH THE WINE OF HER FORNICATION.” “The kings” means “those who are seeking
power and glory for themselves, individuals who have gained great power by stepping on the individual who
cannot help himself,” or it can mean “leaders who desire to be the controlling factors of their country, and perhaps
other countries.” They have been made drunken with lust and greed. Those leaders are the ones who broadcast
the propaganda to the people, causing them to hate and condemn this, and ridicule that. The inhabitants, listening
to the propaganda of these great kings, become drunk with it. Brother, are we drunk today!

We don’t have to take spirits of alcohol to get drunk! All we have to do is take inventory of ourselves and see
how negative we are, then you will see how drunk you really are! A negative mind is not a mind which is clean,
pure and clear. It is a confused mind; therefore it is drunk. “SO HE CARRIED ME AWAY IN THE SPIRIT INTO
THE WILDERNESS: AND I SAW A WOMAN SIT UPON A SCARLET COLOURED BEAST, FULL OF NAMES
OF BLASPHEMY, HAVING SEVEN HEADS AND TEN HORNS.” “So he carried me away in the spirit into
the wilderness”—not the letter of the law, but in the spirit! Blasphemous, full of condemnation! There you
are blaspheming this and that. You go to teachers and ministers; you listen to their abominable hate toward
someone else—and you love it! When I come to you to give you a truth, you reject me and say I am a false
teacher. You are filled with the abomination. How long! How long! “Having seven heads” refers to the seven
powers existing today—seven nations, having seven heads. The “ten horns” are the ten kings who have not yet
received a throne, and they will not do so until five other countries have fallen and there is a battle between the
remaining two. “AND THE WOMAN WAS ARRAYED IN PURPLE AND SCARLET COLOUR, AND DECKED WITH
GOLD AND PRECIOUS STONES AND PEARLS, HAVING A GOLDEN CUP IN HER HAND FULL OF ABOMINATIONS
AND FILTHINESS OF HER FORNICATION:” This indicates that those individuals who are carrying the negative
laws today are filled with promises to you, the same as the political circle of America told the boys in this last war,
“Go out and kill for your country. Protect our country, and when you come back, we will protect you and give you
this and that.” They hold a golden cup in their hands, full of abominations and promises. They never kept any of
the promises. Neither shall these promises be kept to you. As you continue to listen to the negative laws and
accept those false promises, you will not accept the promise of God. You will fall with the others.

If someone promises you gold and silver if you will do this and that, when you get through you have nothing!
“AND UPON HER FOREHEAD WAS A NAME WRITTEN, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER
OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” “Babylon” in the old interpretation means “confusion.”
That is the true meaning of Babylon. The tower of Babel was built in confusion. The “mystery” is nothing more
than the strange mystery of confusion. That is what the world likes—confusion! “The mother of harlots” means
“vagabonds.” A harlot means a vagabond. Anyone who is superstitious in his belief, and without the courage to
stand firm in his belief is a harlot or a vagabond, because a vagabond is a wanderer—whichever way the tide may
run; he has no solid foundation, for he is built upon confusion. Therefore, mystery, Babylon—the confusion of the
vagabonds—and abominations of the earth. “Abomination” means “destruction.” Therefore, that is the governing
influence of those individuals who follow the great whore; their lot is confusion, becoming vagabonds, which leads
to destruction. It is yours to follow if you want—or you can follow me, in gathering together and working for good.
Let no man turn you aside, for if I be the Son of God, my work is to lift you and not tear you down. My work is not
to run you down and have you condemning your fellowmen. My work is to have you love your fellowmen, to fulfill the
prophecy. “AND I SAW THE WOMAN DRUNKEN WITH THE BLOOD OF THE SAINTS, AND WITH THE BLOOD
OF THE MARTYRS OF JESUS (misinterpreted, CHRIST intended): AND WHEN I SAW HER, I WONDERED WITH
GREAT ADMIRATION.” The beast is very clever. The harlots and the vagabonds are also clever, because they are
capable of utilizing certain knowledge. You are a messenger of God; remember what was spoken,

“The devil can use nine points of the laws of God to break one of them”—even to the extent that it would deceive the
most elect children of God, if it were not for the Son of God who reveals unto them the light. Thus, she can be drunken,
she can use those negative laws by talking to you in a spiritual sense concerning God, to get you to follow with them,
and then tell you to rise up and fight and kill your brother. Watch out for those, for the woman is being drunken with the
blood of the saints and the martyrs of Christ. “And when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration,” thus, you look
at a race of people who are being deceived and following the negative, and you wonder, “How in the world could such
a force get into power? How could it have control over so many people, many of whom are good spiritual people?” They
believe what they are doing is right and in accordance with the laws of God, yet the Father told them not to destroy,
but to love their brother as themselves. They have forgotten that law of LOVE YE ONE ANOTHER, yet they think
they are doing right! Therefore, I wonder! “AND THE ANGEL SAID UNTO ME, WHEREFORE DIDST THOU MARVEL?
I WILL TELL THEE THE MYSTERY OF THE WOMAN, AND OF THE BEAST THAT CARRIETH HER, WHICH HATH
THE SEVEN HEADS AND TEN HORNS.” And in my wonderment, the messenger will come to me and say, “Wherefore
dost thou wonder at this. Come and I shall show you their reward.” All I need do is look ahead to the future and I can see
what will happen to those individuals who are following that law. It must come to pass! “THE BEAST THAT THOU SAWEST
WAS, AND IS NOT; AND SHALL ASCEND OUT OF THE BOTTOMLESS PIT, AND GO INTO PERDITION; AND THEY
THAT DWELL ON THE EARTH SHALL WONDER, WHOSE NAMES WERE NOT WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE
FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD, WHEN THEY BEHOLD THE BEAST THAT WAS, AND IS NOT, AND
YET IS.” The Beast that was—the destruction that was—yet is not—it isn’t a tangible thing. It is a condition. Therefore,
that law of destruction was, and yet is not, indicating that it is only real when man accepts it and begins to use it, and
brings it into a tangible form—then it is. But it truly was before man accepted it, yet it isn’t real. It is only a mental
condition within the mind. They shall wonder how it shall gain so much power.

“AND HERE IS THE MIND WHICH HATH WISDOM. THE SEVEN HEADS ARE SEVEN MOUNTAINS, ON WHICH
THE WOMAN SITTETH.” A “mountain” means a “great force, a power.” Therefore, seven great forces or powers are
existing in the world. “The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.” Those seven great powers
are based on the laws of destruction. There are seven kings, that is, seven great leaders following those seven great
powers. We have one in America, one in Russia, India, Spain, Arabia, England and Egypt. “AND THERE ARE SEVEN
KINGS: FIVE ARE FALLEN, AND ONE IS, AND THE OTHER IS NOT YET COME; AND WHEN HE COMETH, HE
MUST CONTINUE A SHORT SPACE.” “And there are seven kings: five are fallen”—that is what we are coming to
next. The 16th Chapter of this Book told of the fire coming down out of heaven, and the destruction of the first five.
This verse speaks of the destruction of the second five, leaving only two. “And one is”—that one which is a power
now definitely is America! “And the other is not yet”—this is the power of Europe, or, we can say one is, and the
other is not, which means that one condition—the negative condition—is quite solid, and the positive condition is
not so solid. “And when he cometh, he must continue a short space.” “AND THE BEAST THAT WAS, AND IS
NOT, EVEN HE IS THE EIGHTH, AND IS OF THE SEVEN, AND GOETH INTO PERDITION.” Man interprets
the Beast as Russia. I say it is the condition which has found its seat in the power of Russia, but is being
fed by every nationality of people in the world today—not a nationality, but those of every nationality who
adhere to the negative law and accept destruction. “AND THE TEN HORNS WHICH THOU SAWEST ARE
TEN KINGS, WHICH HAVE RECEIVED NO KINGDOM AS YET; BUT RECEIVE POWER AS KINGS ONE
HOUR WITH THE BEAST.” This has already been explained.

“THESE HAVE ONE MIND, AND SHALL GIVE THEIR POWER AND STRENGTH UNTO THE BEAST,” Naturally, those
ten kings who are given a kingdom by the Beast will be controlled by the Beast, and whatever the Beast sayeth, so shall
they do, because they will have one mind. They will follow the Beast. “THESE SHALL MAKE WAR WITH THE LAMB,
AND THE LAMB SHALL OVERCOME THEM: FOR HE IS LORD OF LORDS, AND KING OF KINGS: AND THEY THAT
ARE WITH HIM ARE CALLED, AND CHOSEN, AND FAITHFUL” “These shall make war with the Lamb”—right now,
Russia has outlawed religious freedom, the love of God. In America, we know of groups of people who are outlawing
religion, belief in God. They are known as atheists; they believe there is no God. Some of the lesser scientists have
come to believe it is only a state of mind, and therefore how can it be said there is a God! They would rather believe in
their own ability of mental alertness as a god. They are following with that Beast. And the Beast shall make war against
the lamb, or those individuals who still believe in religious freedom and in God. When the Beast rises in full power, the
first thing it will destroy is religion. They will make war and shut out religion. As it was spoken in the 24th Chapter of
Matthew, “There shall not be found one stone upon another that shall not be cast down.” Believe this, when the Beast
takes over, all the beautiful cathedrals and churches shall be turned into houses of barter, that is, they shall be made
over into legislative houses rather than places of worship unto God. As it was before, so shall it be again. These beautiful
churches are built more substantially than many of our office buildings, and will stand longer; thus, they shall be the ones
which will be used as houses of bartering. This has happened before. Between 120 B.C. and 60 B.C. they underwent
the same thing—religion was destroyed in the Holy Lands. The people had no house in which to worship, and they
were denied the privilege of worshipping God. It can happen again! The churches built in Russia are not being used
today as places of worship; neither will ours. “Those who are with the lamb are called, and chosen, and faithful.”

Therefore, I come to you, and I am gathering the 144,000 together, and I must be sure that you have a solid foundation
—that you are tried, chosen and faithful, that you will be faithful unto me and follow with me and will not turn your back
because of the storm. You have to be strong, children. I need you, but I don’t need a bunch of wishy-washy members.
In our project on the five acres, working in unity, one with the other, I am trying you there, testing you to see if you are
selfish, greedy or lustful, to see whether you want something for yourself, or whether you really have in your hearts a
desire to help humanity. I will try you to see if you will give all to God, or whether you give only to get something in return.
Those who are faithful in this project will be taken to another place, from whence the Elect shall be chosen to go into the
Valley of the Elect, for it is but a testing ground, and you must stand the test to prove yourself. You shall have everything
you need—food, shelter, clothing, a group of people who are loving and kind—but if you don’t cooperate with them,
should you be allowed to remain? No, you can’t come in with a sour look on your face and a bitter heart and expect
to receive the love of God in return. You have to give something for it. I have pleaded with you to tithe ten percent of
your holdings to help build this, and to work together, yet only a few are doing so. The rest have no use for it. What
are you going to do when the Beast takes over? You can’t come into the Valley of the 144,000 then, for our group will
have been selected and sealed, and no man from the outside can come in then. If you don’t wake up until the last
minute, it will be too late then. You have read in the Bible that in the last days they shall run into the mountains asking
to have the mountains fall in upon them, and they shall cry in anguish unto God, and there shall be no voice heard,
and their cries will go unheeded, for they had the chance when the day was in its fullness, but if they wait until the
last hour, it is too late to ask God for protection. You had your chance, you made your choice. Your only desire at
the last minute would be to save yourself—not because you believe in God. But, ye shall not be lost, even though
you do not accept the faith God gave you. “AND HE SAITH UNTO ME, THE WATERS WHICH THOU SAWEST,
WHERE THE WHORE SITTEH, ARE PEOPLES, AND MULTITUDES, AND NATIONS, AND TONGUES.”

This doesn’t say a certain class of nation, but peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. Therefore, it doesn’t
mean that one nation is going to be the dominating factor. Remember, the multitudes of the Russian people, along
with those of every other nation, shall be thrown into slavery by this group following the Beast. So, the Russian people
themselves as a whole will not be saved from it. Therefore, stop your condemning of a nation, and recognize the hour
and the day has come when the Son of God must fight this force of destruction. It is a war now between right and wrong,
but it is a war that is not fought with guns and weapons of destruction; it is a war of love against hate. Which side are
you on? If you are on my side, you are on the side of love. If you are on the other side, you will fight me later on, and
ye shall prevail not, for the Lamb of God shall subdue you. Take your choice and stand firm. Be sure. “AND THE TEN
HORNS WHICH THOU SAWEST UPON THE BEAST, THESE SHALL HATE THE WHORE, AND SHALL MAKE HER
DESOLATE AND NAKED, AND SHALL EAT HER FLESH, AND BURN HER WITH FIRE.” In other words, the ten kings
shall turn against the Beast when they see the 144,000 Elect come out to war against it with love and kindness. “These
shall hate the whore and make her desolate,” or, they will refuse to give their power unto the Beast any longer, thus the
Beast will be left helpless. “They shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh,” indicating that they shall
not feed her any longer, but shall “burn her with fire.” They shall rise up. Although the 144,000 will not carry guns or
means of destruction, that does not mean those ten kings and their people will not rise up and fight for the good of the
land. They will fight with destructive laws, as it has happened before. Then the Lamb of God will take the weapons
away from them, and all the other people shall be disarmed. For a thousand years, peace shall reign upon the earth,
with love and kindness unto God. “FOR GOD HATH PUT IN THEIR HEARTS TO FULFIL HIS WILL, AND TO AGREE,
AND GIVE THEIR KINGDOM UNTO THE BEAST, UNTIL THE WORDS OF GOD SHALL BE FULFILLED.”

“AND THE WOMAN WHICH THOU SAWEST IS THAT GREAT CITY, WHICH REIGNETH OVER THE KINGS OF THE
EARTH.” Therefore, the kings in other parts of the country shall rise up to destroy the seat of power, and all nations,
tongues and races shall be set free to love God—all through the efforts of these Elect children I am gathering together
today, which shall be of the 144,000. I pray unto God that those gathered here will be part of that army of the 144,000,
for since I have given you wisdom of the Father today, it would grieve me greatly to have to do war with you later on
and to consume you. I would not like that, but if you obey the Beast, then I must give unto you your reward, as the
Father has given me the privilege of giving that reward, and I will not show partiality. Just because you heard a few
lectures and followed some of the beliefs, does not mean I will give you privileges above the others. You are either
for or against me. If you be for God, obey my Commandments that have been given to you, and follow me. Pick
up that staff of love and follow me. All praise and glory I extend to you. Let’s see if we gathered here can’t become
a little more firmly rooted in truth and stand behind the teacher who is before you, for this teacher is ready to war
against the Beast, but he isn’t going to cause you to rise up and take arms and fight for him. He will fight the Beast,
but not with weapons of destruction. His fight with the Beast is for the love God gave him, and he will use that as the
foundation upon which he stands. I stand before you, naked to the truth of God, and what I speaketh unto you I shall
obey and live. Even though everyone of you were to turn away, you would see me standing on yon open place with
my hands spread, propounding my Father’s love to the world. I can stand alone; I have stood alone before, but
united with your forces, we can do greater work for our fellowmen. God be with you, keep you and protect you.
